| and /or tire lateral runout since shop (and your pictured equipment) use the rim/tire to measure angles from. Therefore the rim and/or tire lateral runout needs to be determined to see if in spec and fixed if not. Could have slightly bent rim and/or tire that has its own lateral runout do to defect. If lateral runout not acceptable the alignment is not worth a toot since it will vary with tire rotation while underway. Rim and /or tire lateral runout is very easy to measure as a DIY. Most shops do not even do this or check tire pressure. Next time you buy tires ask if they can match mount the tire to the rim for accurate dynamic balance and see how few even know what the h --- you are talking about. Also for correct accurate align (especially castor and camber angles) need tires inflated equally at the front and equally at the rear but they can be different front to rear as they are for the Z. I like the DIY align been doing it for years but with different equip than you note. Results are confirmed with steering wheel centered, good drivability and tire wear patterns.
